I am the worst student of Grandmaster Shouyu Liang. Many others have also tried to teach me. Sam Masich tried really hard. I began my martial arts training in 1979 after reading a book by C.W. Nicol entitled "Moving Zen". This was my first exposure to martial arts as being something other than loud noises and bad movies. Since then, I have had the opportunity to train with many of the top masters of many martial arts. You can read my bio and read about some of my teachers at http://www.TaiChiCanada.com My specialty and first love among the arts is taijiquan (Tai Chi) and the internal styles: xingyiquan, baguazhang, yiquan, liuhebafa. I have also learned from masters of the traditional martial arts of India, Phillipines, Brazil, South-Central Africa, Medieval Europe, Scotland, Greece, Portugal, Russia, China, Japan, Korea, and Tibet. I have even had the great good fortune to have brief but informative introductions to the martial arts of the Anishinaabe and Cree. I believe that all martial arts, at their highest level, cultivate the best qualities of human nature, and ultimately transcend the limitations of human nature. The path of the martial artist is the unrelenting and courageous striving for peace and harmony. Non-violence is not passive. It is a constant vigil. Non-violence is not timid. It is fierce compassion. Non-violence is not foolish. It is the persistent and sometimes painful search for wisdom. The way of the martial artist is the way of love. All practical considerations of the highest level of skill, technique, method, timing, and motivation are dependent on the ability of the warrior to be a function of unconditional love.Videos (125)

"Turtle Song" by the Lebarr Brothers. www.LebarrBrothers.com In this version the video is accelerated 800% and then the first movement is played at regular speed to demonstrate just how slowly I was moving. But the best thing about this video is the song. I love their new album "LeBarr Brothers"...

http://www.TaiChiCentral.com It is said that with tai chi skill, the size of your opponent shouldn't matter. But can you use tai chi to defend yourself when there is 180 lb difference between you and your opponent?
. . . . . . . because these video appear directly from youtube.com which we cannot control it.)
