New Tribes Mission's Interface program is a four- to six-week, college-level missions course in the highlands of Papua New Guinea. While there you'll discover the heart of cross-cultural missions, come face-to-face with unknown realities as you learn from missionaries in the field and your life will never be the same. I had the opportunity to go to Interface this past May-June. This video was taken during one of our language helper sessions. On this day we went to a language helper's house and observed them cook kaukau and kon (sweet potato and corn) and then practiced TPR. TPR is Total Physical Response for language learning and has many different steps. This is the first step in which you point to different objects and they tel you the word in Pidgin. I invite you to check out my website if you'd like to read some of my posts about my experiences at Interface www.CaitlinRyerson.com
