Join us as we take you on an artistic tour of world cities at no better venue than CITIES Restaurant & Lounge, offering an international dining experience in a setting that is beyond compare in Washington, D.C. Our photo exhibit of Julius Gwyer's recent photographic expeditions in Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, Colombia, Italy and France will take guests on a one of a kind adventure. CITIES' eclectic and meticulously crafted menu inspired by various world cuisines will further transport attendees to exotic and far away destinations. The evening will also feature a special performance by DJ FOtiFO, DUBLIN & RENATO SBARRO. When you open your eyes and have a camera in your hand, it is possible to see moments and beauty all around you, in every place, almost all of the time. Julius' photos remind us of beauty in ordinary and extraordinary places. Coming from a family of world travelers, economists and artists, Julius was born in England and grew up following his family around the world, living in Tanzania, Kenya, Indonesia, Philippines, Sudan, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, Barbados, Spain, England, and the US. In his adult life he took up photography as a way to remember, and to share, the beautiful places he visited. With camera in hand, he attempts two to three photographic expeditions each year in search of new places, culture, life, and light. The results of his adventures have been featured in several magazines, as well as exhibitions in Washington DC, and in the coming year his work will be exhibited in Paris, London, Barcelona and Rome. Stunning melodies, hypnotizing vocals, and versatile music genres are perfect signature sounds of this incredible local duo. FOtiFO played in the most respected and in-demand clubs of Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia, while Dublin had the opportunity to meet and perform for a number of world known musicians such as Wynton Marsalis, Diana Krall, and Gregory Hines. The evening will feature special guest performance by famous drummer RENATO SBARRO.
